I'm assuming that's a nod at GT.
Having played both Resurrection and Infinity on a small private server with friends, I can say they are drastically different animals. We ended up abandoning the Resurrection world after Infinity was released, as I was the only player (of the 4-6 active) to move beyond the Bronze Age, and the lot were a mite frustrated. It's a different pace, that's for sure. I love the cross-mod compatibility (read: abuse) that I can play with Infinity, but Resurrection forced me to slow down , play by the rules, and actually experience some of the mods I had previously just plowed into/through for the pieces I wanted (Thaumcraft, Chief amongst them).
If you've been out of the loop for a bit, it should be noted that GT has a tendency to stranglehold most packs that it is included in (OK, not really new there, I suppose), and the way it generates ores in the world is different (large veins, but spread out) but not for everyone. I enjoyed it, as it made using trains into active mines usable for more than 20 minutes, which in turn forced me to delve into RailCraft in a way I had never really done before.
Our group now has an Infinity server up and running, and we've now reached the point where survival and creative become one. Due to that, some people have begun to lose interest, as all that is left now is to build things for the sake of building things (not that there is anything wrong with that to me, mind you). It has prompted me to peruse the new iteration FTB Horizons, which has left me feeling like a noob all over again - both exhilarating and frustrating at the same time.
I guess this was a long-winded way of saying, "Welcome back.". Play Infinity now, as by the time Resurrection is rereleased, you'll likely be done with that works anyway. If you have any questions along the way, just give a shout.
