When I Updated I lost my world

Whe I updated the DireWolf 1.5 modpack I lost my world, and when I moved the files over, it said that it had a lot of ID mismatches!! I've put SO much energy and time into my world, and if I loose it I'm not just gonna start over. I'm gonna stop playing for a LONG while! Please help. I don't care as long as I can play on my world again!! I'm soo pissed while writing this so PLEASE HELP!!!!

Read this

Right at the top it says we are not providing support for id conflicts , if you update you will have to restart your world.

Do you mean you updated from a different version of minecraft e.g 1.4.7 to 1.5.2. If so, it is possible to transfer over worlds but it is not an easy task and requires a fair amount of work because a lot things change between minecraft versions.

Also if it was a 1.4.7 world and you used anything to do with redpower2 then all of those items would be gone because there is no redpower for 1.5.2.
