I've noticed a buildcraft ad before on Youtube that appears every once and a while, but now I'm seeing ads for technic/tekkit. It'll be interesting to see diffrent mod devs hosting their own ads, and overpowering everything else with a swarm of ads about minecraft mods. Or, maybe the diffrent modpacks will start fighting like savage melee turtles on while true do turtle.attack() and start competing for more popularity.

Just wanted to know some of your opinions on the increasing number of ads for mods. Or maybe it'll cap off at two and we'll never see an ad for a mod again.

I've never seen an advertisement for a mod. I don't even think they're allowed to advertise due to Minecraft's ToS.

I have seen buildcraft advertisements before, so if it is not legal, Mojang is not doing anything about it/does not know about it.

It is perfectly legal for the mod to advertise itself. It is not legal for them to charge you for the mod, however.

It's ironic how there's more ads for the mods and modpacks of minecraft than there are for minecraft itself.

Well then no need to, Morjang is getting traffic flow by letting the modmakers "fuel the fire" for them. Mods requires Minecraft then people will want to buy it then $ for the company.
