Im am wanting to get a server for My friends and I to play on again. We like gregtech b/c it takes a while to get to end game so We LOVE ftb ultimate. It has been about a year since we play'd on a server so i didnt know if there is a better mod pack out now. I see monsters and a couple of others but cant seem to find info on the difference between what i know ( FTBU) and the new ones.

Can anyone tell me that since i like FTBU i would like any other one? The only problem i didnt like about FTBU is that it is in 1.4.7

Have you seen FTB Resurrection? It's meant to be a successor to Ultimate (and has Gregtech in it)

yes but everytime i try and load it up it will crash..... Cant seem to find whats wrong

If you're having lag issues, try adding Fastcraft and see if that helps. If not, you'll need more knowledgeable people than I to help you. However, you're unlikely to have that happen when your post is asking about packs rather than an issue with a certain pack.

IMHO, Resurrection seems like the pack that you want. Go looking for support with Resurrection rather than asking for a different pack. There are people who know much more about the technical side of things that can help you. Have a look through bug threads, support threads, and the announcement thread to see if anyone has had the same issue as you and, if so, whether it has been solved. If you find nothing, open a thread based on support for a technical issue rather than one vaguely titled "What's new?". You'll get the help you need that way, I'm sure of it
