Where to start indeed. Never miss, not necessarily MC:

Etho - The Artist

DW - The Modfather

TotalBiscuit - the best commentator and reviewer on YT, imo.

Dodger (presshearttocontinue / dexterity bonus) - because <3

Dead Worker's Party (Copeland/Fullerton/Wilson) - classic. fullerton's editing/music/creativity is the draw for me.

Geek & Sundry (Felicia Day's crew) - needs no intro.

Sessler's .. something (rev3games) - because Sessler.

Others I hit when I can, like Mead, Quetzi, but I generally have Q on stream. Lots of music stuffs.

^_^ I figure I won't bore everyone with a list of 200+ channels. Besides I do have some obsecure ones.

Obscure's the word.... you even got me in that sub box of your's. I don't think any more obscure than that is possible. :D

Personally i have only 60 or so channels i have subscribed to.
here is my top watched list:
Etho - I like how he tries to be original in his builds
Bdubs - I like his new creative series the most. he's actually a pretty good architect with a nice eye for details.
Generic B - not his minecraft stuff tho. mostly his other games, cuz he's god at finding some nice gems out there.
Northernlion - not minecraft, but indie game reviews and binding of isaac.
Coestar - Coe's quest. it was the second series i started watching after i bought minecraft. too bad he is streaming more than making yt vids now... twitch TV never works properly for me.

I think i have most of the mindcrackers in my sub box, but I'm rarely watching their vid's.. there just ain't enough hours in a day for that.
it's the same with a lot of the other people i subscribe to. some of them have been mostly inactive as well lately. time to get a refill with some new faces i think.

Heh surprised by people who like monkeyfarm, tobuscus and pewdiepie some the series are just recycled but still fun to watch for the first few times.
I found some new channels I heard Yogcast quite alot and never watched anything from them except for some mod spotlights. VintageBeef looks alrite too looks like he shows some neat mods and maps.

Yogscast and Direwolf20 (though if I hear him say "how cool is THAT?" one more time I am going to lose it)

I know it's Tekkit, but anyone who hasn't watched the YogsCast build a Jaffa Cake Factory has squandered countless opportunities to laugh-spit a beverage all over your keyboard while waking up everyone in your house in the middle of the night. I've never watched anything on YouTube past maybe five eps, and I'm on episode 60.

Best Yogs funny moment for me was the santa Simon made on top of the factory. The whole thing had all five of them rolling with laughter,

I've never laughed so hard as when Simon, mad with power, pushes Duncan off the edge of a Quarry hole to his death... and is immediately pushed in after him by a random Zombie that had crept up from behind. I can't remember the episode number, but it was early on. The circumstances made me pretty sure it wasn't scripted, too, which made it that much more hilarious :)

From their Tekkit series, I started watching a few GregTech play throughs, and they're just as hilarious --- listening to Duncan, Simon and Lewis screaming in abject terror at the jump-scares in a haunted asylum was priceless.

I've also been trying to catch up on all of the Mindcrack podcasts, i'm up to 4; if you keep fairly up to date with current events on the Mindcrack server they're bloody hilarious.

Aside from a couple( Vintage, RayWilliamJohnson, Birgirpall, TotalHail, etc. ), that's basically my same subscriber list. Glad to see someone else here watches Vsauce and numberphile and stuff like that :). I also have a lot of subs in addition to this as well like technical vanilla players(ZipCrowd, Docm77, Cubehamster, Bennyscube, etc.) and mapmakers (Sarc, Vechs, ACtennisAC, FVdisco, etc.)

Gave your video a watch, Alex. Here's some 'advice' from my perspective as a lazy-watcher-who-doesn't-do-any-of-your-work ;)

- Introduce yourself and greet your viewers! At minimum when you start a series. Most professional youtubers do it every episode.

- Turning down your mic volume a little and speaking louder will improve the sound of your voice. Don't talk to the microphone - talk to a room full of people. Just imagine you're giving a presentation or something.

- Another youtuber I watch (a German one doing vanilla Let's Plays, which is why I didn't bother listing him before) once spent an episode devoted to giving tips on how to do good Let's Play videos. He strongly underlined that the most important skill he had to teach himself was to talk, talk, talk. Without stopping for the entire recording, even, if necessary. Hardly anyone can just do that; it's a learned skill, but the effect is dramatic. This person manages to hold a quarter million hits through three 20-minute-episodes of him doing nothing but digging sand without a single cut. He manages it simply by virtue of being so interesting and amusing to listen to.

- On the topic of cuts: During the first four minutes of your video, you have like six or more cuts. You skip more than an entire hour of gameplay in this time, by the looks of it. Why? Are you not confident that your gameplay is interesting enough to watch? Don't you want to show off your map? You give off this vibe of considering your own series uninteresting, slow and redundant, and you make me wonder what you want to do in it. I mean, you state your goal as building a house in the beginning of the episode, but even that part you skip right through. So, what are you trying to show us, again...?
