Pretty obvious that the grinding part should be facing bedrock. Make sure it isnt the last layer of bedrock because it can't break that.

So is it the first or second option, you didn't really clarify that. Both the options seem to be facing Bedrock.

I don't get why you'd even want to break bedrock. There's nothing down there.
You've obviously never played with the RotaryCraft mod. There's lots you can do! I just need to figure out which way the Bedrock Breaker faces. The picture above is my way right now, it's not breaking with 19.45 on the clock. I just want to get someone elses approval as to which if I'm doing it right.

You'd be correct on that, I hardly even know what the mod does.

Why break Bedrock in RC? Get Bedrock Dust and make indestructible tools/armor.
Ohhhhhh...
You've got me interested in RC already!
When you say indestructible, can you specify how, for example: Durability (if any), Enchantment etc. :)

Bedrock armor and tools have no durability however, they are not totally indestructible, hitting bedrock armor with a bedrock sword will result in the complete destruction of said armor (complete as in you lose it). They are in fact quite easily the best tools and armor in the game coming with enchantments when you make them.

It can be turned to face wherever you want if I'm not mistaken.

It needs to be facing bedrock, but the LAST LAYER (at Y:1) cannot be broken for it releases the void monster(if it is installed) so the breaker does not want that
If you want the last layer broken for some reason use TTKAMI and get a new dimension.

It also creates an indestructible shaft (in laymens terms, how you transfer power)

in the latest version there IS an option to enable breaking of that last layer. void monster is nasty, so be warned if you have it.
Thamic Tinkerer adds solid bedrock for 4 layers higher.
you can also smash the bedrock walls of the Twilight forest labyrinths.
and nether roof.

uses: unbreakable tools/armor that come preloaded with some decent enchants.
the bedrock axe now whacks whole trees, and has a large leaf-clearing AoE.
kiss that jungle goodbye!

bedrock gears/shafts. no speed/torque limits on shafts. gearboxes don't use lubricant.
pieces of other machines.

and whats this about TTKAMI and a past-bedrock dimension?

TT does not add those layers, COFHCore is configged for that
And when you use an awakened ichorium pick on the last layer of bedrock it opens a portal to the bedrock dimension, it has pillars filled to the brim with every ore, but they are encased in bedrock. Should not be an issue since awakened Ichorium tools are unbreakable
