Here are my computer specs:

Window 7 HP 64-bit
Intel Core i3 processor 540
Intel GMA HD graphics
500 GB Hard drive
4GB DDR3 Memory

I am a fan of any modpack that uses Gregtech, only problem is, its completely unplayable on my PC. At best,I get 3-5 FPS WITH Optifine installed, lowest settings possible, and set on the highest priority with my window manager. Also I divert the maximum amount of RAM to FTB (3.75 GB) . I have the latest Java installed.

Can someone please explain to me on how I could run modpack, containing Gregtech and other mods, without lagging so much its unplayable. Also if I need to buy something like a new graphics card or RAM, post some suggestions please.(I intend only to play FTB, so please do not post anything overkill:D)

^This. Intel does not do advanced graphics well at all, but for some reason can't or won't admit it to themselves :D

At least AMD went out and bought one of the two industry leaders for their graphics expertise (ATI). I just personally feel the got the wrong one :D

Also, the i3 chips are designed for laptops, doesn;t surprise me it chokes on something as intensive as a Modpack.
