What mod causes random generation of ore on surface days later?

I am using FTB Monster with all mods enabled. I have been to surface many times and everything has been normal. Today I went outside my house and random ore as far as the eye can see, even on top of my house! This ore was random overworld ore, and nether ore. Just curious what mod causes this, as I have never heard of this happening, pretty cool, and does is happen more than once? Kind of ore rain perhaps?

Extremely annoying, even in a hard pack like Blood n Bones. The ores it gives you aren't worth the price of cleaning up the crap it drops. I hate meteor showers. Rather have a solid hit on my base than a couple hundred random blocks dropped all over buildings, trees, etc.

There is a small chance for a "Meteor Shower". That looks like what you got hit with. Could be dozens of regular meteors that burst all over the area.

Yup, and is being removed from BnB when I finish the update.
