As long as we're talking about bees...

There are bees that produce redstone (surprisingly easy to breed) and ruby (no idea). That said, it isn't really anything exciting until you put a whole bunch in apiaries with nine frame housings each. The advantage of bees is that they scale pretty easily.

There might also be a bee which produces chrome directly, but don't quote me on that.
I do know there is a bee which produces platinum, which you can process into iridium, but honestly, that would probably be slower.

Chrome: Quarry, centrifuge redstone or Ruby bees, RP2 frame quarry at redstone spawn height
Titanium: Quarry (bauxite) at specific biome (http://gregtech-addon.wikispaces.com/worldgeneration) , Titanium bees
Be Cells: Ender Pearls (endermen farm)
Iridium: Valuable Bees (GT default mode)+Ferrous Ore from quarry or Matter fabricator (if mass fab is enabled in GT, 150k per uum)
Gunpowder for ITNT: Austere Bees in desert, or T5 creeper spawner
Others (tin and coal dust for the reflectors, irons etc): Quarry

Btw, GT will change how fusion reactor works in 1.5 update. Platinum producing bee is not slower, I have 4 pairs with alveary+9 frame housings so that's around 23568 eu/t (GT default mode).

How did you change your config to make gregtech normal mode? If you dont mind can you post your config files?

Breed the Radioactive species of bee.
When you ask how you get the combs, it's usually how to get the bees.[DOUBLEPOST=1363093574][/DOUBLEPOST]

I just throw the ingredients away, and give myself a mass fab with NEI. In my opinion, the matter fabricator is only for servers with more people on it, so you can't just work together to get a fusion reactor in 2 days or something.

Indeed. To which I would have gone on for as long as possible giving only the exact information asked. If people are too lazy to look something up for themselves, they get to suffer through asking my minty green face looking it up for them and tidbitting it slowly but surely.

If you want to know how to get radioactive bees, and you don't want to have to ask me all thirty-eight questions needed to get there (counting pre-existing bee-keeping knowledge, otherwise four hundred and seventy-nine questions counting pre-existing MineCraft/FTB knowledge), I would suggest researching into how beekeeping works, and then researching into the genetic lines of bees.

Good luck, and for the record, it is considered extremely rude to "bump" your post, especially only after a few hours.

My bad. On the forum for another game, bumping is completely normal and acceptable.
If it's that complicated, I'll just use quarries to get them.

Glad to have educated you in that regard.

And bees are not easy. If all you want is uranium, quarrying is surely your best bet. Bees require dedication, a minor lobotomy, and lots of luck.

Dedication isn't exactly my thing, I'm only dedicated to making things easier. ._.

Yeah, stay away from bees. The amount of effort required is at least two magnitudes more than the effort requires to set up a quarry and run it every so often. You'll be swimming in uranium if you do that.

You can even set up a RedPower 2 frame system to allow you to move your quarry and easily place the landmarks. That's what I did on my last world.
