i see this name almost everywhere i go..

What little that i have heard i kinda like it...

But what is this?

I understand its a modpack of some sort and you spawn in a void with only a platform and a house..
And your goal is to rebuild the world?
with limit amount of lives? (can you get more life?)
new monsters?
Co-op play on different spawn points?
is this a awsome modpack?
anything else I need to know?
what mods will I miss from Direwolf20 modpack?

can someone make a easy simple explanation that will make me play it?

you get a quest book with tasks to complete which range from getting wood to crafting octuple compressed cobble (needing 40 million cobble)

the quest mod includes a life system, and there are hearts you can consume for more lifes

no new monsters

coop play is possible but can also be on same spawn points

people seem to think it is

compare mod lists, most obvious is IC2 and buildcraft. However of the mods that are there most recipes will have changed and item transfer nodes have been disabled, NEI will be your best friend

Pffft Agrarian Skies is old news! It's All about Crash Landing now. Get with the times grandpa.

As for what would get you to play it; I would say if you value a challenge, of course if you are savvy with the mods is not terribly hard but it's a challenge none the less.

Crash landing?.. you kids dont talk to us old people anymore so its hard to keep up.. you think we just sit there reading our newspaper and complaining about noisy cars.. but NOO!.. we lol's, swags, yolo's and play minecraft all the time.. because we are seniors we have all the spare time!

Yeah, maybe you missed it, but there was/is a contest going on using the HQM book as the only requirement for the map. There are a lot of them out there right now.
AgS was the first, that inspired the contest. Crash Landing is the "current" popular one.

bees is made better with gendustry, it's essentially OP with guaranteed mutations and quick deaths

How can you say that? One of the AgSkies quests requires the turn-in of 10,000 drones...
