What exactly does EE3 do?

I was incredibly comfortable with EE2 (I know, I know, it was OP, you don't need to tell me) and now that I'm playing FTB again I'm wondering what the hell happened. The only thing I can figure out is the Minium Stone, is there anything else? Thanks in advance

It's still beta/alpha. The minium stone is the only functioning part of EE albeit extremely useful.

Technically, EE3 also has the Glass Bell now. Serves no purpose other than looking pretty and showing off items.

I'm not quite sure - but wasn't it so that the Glass Bell also had the ability to let light emitting blocks.. well, emitt light while placed inside?

Also, don't quote me on this, but I remember hearing that the light level stacks. Someone said something about putting a stack of glowstone blocks in there for quite an interesting effect
