What exactly does EE3 do?

I was incredibly comfortable with EE2 (I know, I know, it was OP, you don't need to tell me) and now that I'm playing FTB again I'm wondering what the hell happened. The only thing I can figure out is the Minium Stone, is there anything else? Thanks in advance :)
 
It's still beta/alpha. The minium stone is the only functioning part of EE albeit extremely useful.

I'm not quite sure - but wasn't it so that the Glass Bell also had the ability to let light emitting blocks.. well, emitt light while placed inside?

Also, don't quote me on this, but I remember hearing that the light level stacks. Someone said something about putting a stack of glowstone blocks in there for quite an interesting effect
