What does a red kinesis pipe mean?

I just switched my wooden kinesis pipe to a emerald kinesis pipe that is connected to my Big reactor and Ender generator x8. All the gold pipes I have plugged into the emerald pipe are red. Will they explode or what?

They won't explode, chances are you have figured it out already.
That being said you should really be using diamond kinisis pipes gold just doesn't cut it

That or get yourself some Thermal Dynamics ones. You have a Big Reactor so you have the tech level for it. Ends up cheaper on your diamonds too.
