I will just sate this.

If eunomiac IS a werewolf, he is a really good one. If J is a werewolf, he is a bad one. If Staxed is a werewolf he is better than J, but still a bit bad.

Know what would be hilarious? None of us are Werewolves. The Villagers won in a landslide last night with the death of GPuzzle, and ICount is just messing with us to see how our perfect 5-man alliance falls apart upon the "revelation" that one of us is a werewolf.

I did that once in a face-to-face game, except I was even worse: There were no werewolves from the start. Everyone was a villager. I pretended to call upon non-existent werewolves, then just went down a list I'd randomly ordered at the beginning of the game of the "targets" they'd choose. The absolute best part was the dead players, who got to keep their eyes open at night (but couldn't say a word), and saw what I was doing. (They hated me ... until their first daybreak, when they realized they were about to watch the hilarious spectacle of a town full of villagers finding "reasons" to lynch each other, against a backdrop of werewolf kills that were entirely random and made no sense.)

Edit: I believe most of the interests in my sig fit the above :D

As I said, I played a game similar to this when I was a kid, called "Boogie man is going to kill us all", and from time to time, my friends would do that. I never done it. But I could do meaner stuff. Like pretend I miss understood the "wolf's" signals.

Night 5

Two wolves found now. Though looking around, everybody jumpy, everybody nervous, nobody fully sure of anything. There could be more. The whispers circle, the fingers point, and like before they always seem to be on the same person.

Sunset comes to dgdas, tied to a stake in the middle of the bonfire, the one that saved a life last night, it shall claim a life this night. The fall of a torch.

Look away everybody, for...

dgdas: 'dgdas, 'Staxed, 'the_j485, 'Jess887cp
the_j485: 'Eunomiac

dgdas has died. Wasn't much of anybody at all...
The village has lost a member.

Enough to make everybody doubt if there really was a wolf, perhaps to call in the guards.

Everybody went back up to their rooms, a quiet worry, "Will I be next" seeming to be the only constant thread in the conversation this night.

All asleep save one. And then one less sleeping.
Jess887cp dies without time to scream, the lucky charms did not save him from the wolf.

Jess887cp died. His charms scattered over the room, whatever luck they had, spent. He did not survive this.
The village has lost a member.

Day 6, 3 players remain - rush is still an option

I vote to lynch the_j485, final answer.

Staxed hasn't done a single thing to raise my suspicions, and I can't deny the suspicions I've had about the_j485 from the start. There is no rational way I could vote for the former over the latter.

Three remaining, they turned on each other, and then two pointed at a third.

The club used by the barkeep to keep order, normally used for little more then to quiet a drunk was brought out, and brought down on the_J485's head.

He went quickly, and quietly into death, struck from behind before he knew what had happened.

the_J485 has died

Eunomiac drops the club and turns on Staxed, his form shifting, flowing, changing into that of a werewolf, striking out with claws, and then his teeth, striking for the throat.

Staxed has died.

...

That very night the kings guard arrived, finding the inn burned to a ruin, the baron's guard laying dead, scattered here and there as if caught by surprise.

Wolf tracks lead into the forest.

Wolves win.
2nd place villagers
3rd place pied piper

Right, thread is open for comment.

Well played folks.

Now, you noticed that I'd given the villagers a HUGE advantage in what I was allowing them to quote at each other. In latter games you will be suspicious I hope, because everything is balanced.

These where werewolves with contagious blood. When Euno bit one... it did not go well for him.

The game quite literally came down to a coin flip that night. Very close game, and well played.

I will post with my notesfile.

Player list and rules

Rules:

1. Nightfall. Midnight EST. If you have a power, it has to be sent by then. I'll have results up as soon after midnight as I can.
2. Powers. Do send a list. A list of 3 candidates for your power to be used on should be sufficient.
3. Votes. Bold them. You don't need to nominate, you don't need to second, and even if you are accused you can vote. The person with the most valid votes at midnight gets lynched. Ties, I'll use a RNG.
4. Abstaining. You may not abstain from voting. You may vote for none. None my only be lynched once per game. If you have not voted, you are killed by fiat of GM. If your team has a substitute lined up, I might give them your role.
5. On death you will have your role displayed.
6. You may converse with anybody you want. You may not quote a conversation (PM) into the thread, nither ones with other players, nor ones from the GM.

Sign up below, I'm hoping for at least as many as the last game.

Role Descriptions

0. Basic Villager

Some folks just have the misfortune to be in the wrong place. I won't tell you why you where in the inn, why you got stuck inside when everybody else was working to hammer nails into the door. It could have been anybody, you could have been anybody. Instead you are inside, and you are nobody.

Power: None. At least you don't have to send a list

Win condition: You're a villager, you win with the villagers.

1. Drunkard
Some folks are always hanging around the bar trying to get a free drink. Others are hanging around anybody they can, trying to pick up a coin or two. You are slightly better off, you've gotten rather good at learning just enough from a person while your begging to do some work. On the other hand those few coins you make, you turn them instantly into the strongest beer you can find. The hangover always seems to leave your head empty in the morning.

Power: Mimic
Send a list every night. I will take the first living person in the list and you will gain the power they have. You will not be told what power this is. The next night you will send a list. If you have a power, you will use it on the first living person, otherwise you will gain the power of that person.

Win condition: You're a villager, you win with the villagers.

Unsent note: Seer sees as hostile. If they track a wolf, and kill, fully converted to wolves. Do not ever tell them who they actually followed.

2. Fortune Teller
You are a traveling fortune teller. The fates demanded that you be here, at this time, at this place... oh, who am I kidding, you had a little too much wine last night, and you couldn't tell the pounding of the nails from the pounding in your head. The good news is that you do have some of the trappings of your craft with you here and you will be able to tell fortunes, and get yourself a little gold. Some other game, some other time and place you might have been able to get something from your donkey cart and do a better reading, even a throw of the runestones might have helped bring in something more, but not this one.

Power: Seer
Send a list every night. I will take the first living person in the list and send back his alignment.

Win condition: You're a villager, you win with the villagers.

3. Bartender
Your bar. Okay, the Baron's. It's been in your family for generations, so as long as the Baron does not say otherwise it's almost like it's yours. Means all this is yours to deal with.

Power: Double Vote
The box they are voting into, little slips of coloured bark are not the most secure method. Very easy to make your vote count twice in the lynch. This happens automatically, no list needed.

Win condition: You're a villager, you win with the villagers.

4. Hunter
Of all the times to think that it might be nice to sleep in a bed for a night, now your stuck inside dealing with a roof overhead that does not have any stars in it. Course this is a chance to hunt prey of a very special kind, the werewolf. That silver arrowhead that you always kept as a good luck charm, this is the time.

Power: Bodyguard
Send a list. You will stand outside the door of the first name on the list and prevent anybody from entering the room. If you choose to USE the silver arrowhead, you may send a SINGLE target instead of a list, with your decision made of who to kill. Be clear about your choice.

WARNING: You will be a much less effective guard without the glint of silver in your bow.

Win condition: You're a villager, you win with the villagers.

Unsent note: Change from an "all block" to a role block that does not prevent wolf attack after killshot. Wolf attacks the room he's guarding after arrow used, wolf takes him and leaves the room alone.

5. Survivor
Of all the luck, but you will survive this one too. Though this time you can't run. You where the one who sent for the guards. If you can just survive until they get here.

Power: Lucky Charms. You are so covered in charms and totems and lucky trinkets that they just might do something for you.

Win condition: You can either win alone by surviving until the guards show up or win with the villagers. Send in your choice but you can not reverse this choice. If the villagers try to lynch you (A majority vote shown) you loose the option to join them.

Unsent note: Lucky charm is 25% and single use.

6. Traveling Musician
The life of a mistral, is horrible, gritty, and poor. You got sick of that the last town you where in. Used a silver flute to charm away the rats. Then they didn't pay you. So you charmed away the children to the old witch that traded you the flute. That was enough money to keep life worth living, for a while. Now your here, stuck in the inn, and waiting for wolves to rip out your throat. Still if it worked on children, and it's worked on animals before...

Power: Send a list. You'll play music outside the door of the first living person on that list. That silver flute the witch charmed up, it does work a treat, sadly you'll only have time to charm one person a night.

Win Condition: You are alone. As you play music outside doors you will ensnare them into your charm. You can't win until you have charmed everybody, and delivered them to the guards.

7. Pack Leader
To be locked into a building, shame. Worse, to be here with only HIM.... Still these folk are as tasty as the ones before. Hunting is good, and you'll be able to break free easily enough.

Power: Call the kill. The list is yours to send. Just don't forget or else it goes to ... him.

Win condition: When the number of villagers is equal or less then the number of wolves, you'll claim the inn by force.

8. Pack Member
Moonmoon! Get down from there.
Hunt, your here to hunt, yup yup yup. You, the sky, no, no sky, no moon, your inside. When he tells you, you'll go there, and you'll kill. Yup.

Power: Send your list. If no other wolf sends a list, you will have the list that counts and the kill of the night is yours.

Win condition: When the number of villagers is equal or less then the number of wolves, you'll claim the inn by force.

Unsent note: Converted wolf has a higher priority then moonmoon.

Guards:
Starting on day 6 there's a growing chance of them to show up.

Wolves: Sent to GPuzzle, goreae

Welcome to the wolves, you bloodthirsty basards.

I'm giving you this bone, and only this... don't assume the numbers work out the obvious way.

Music note:
You heard something last night. A soft high fluting, as clear and open as the sky. It opened a hope in your heart.

You ran to the door to open it and look and saw...

Well, that's just it, for 80% of the game, he WAS absolutely trustworthy...
Just he didn't change behavior once he got converted.
That is the sign of a werewolf play master.
Show no change, no matter what you are.

Oh, if I start to play serious and often, I'm going to do horrible things to my likes to posts ratio...
