Hey all,

Since last weekend, I'm having very weird issues when connecting to Feed The Beast servers.

When joining a server, the server doesn't read my activity at all. Instead, it takes about two minutes to load up, and then it either does what I did two minutes ago, or entirely cuts the connection off.

At first I thought this was a server-side problem. I throughly checked everything I could:
- did I have this issue anywhere else? No. Minecraft, youtube and other games worked perfectly, especially now I'm playing on a place with a MUCH better internet speed.
- were there any issues with the connection line to the server? I checked this again: there was no maintanance on the route, and the line delay was 192 ms... nothing compared to what I experienced.

Another important thing to note was this issue did NOT occur before Sunday 8:30 GMT, 19-5-2013. After that, it went strange. Really strange.

So I thought this problem was server side, and due lacking admin activity, I decided to give it up. Just a few minutes ago, I asked a friend (who lives in the same country) to host a FTB server instead. He configured everything like he has to do... and it happened AGAIN. Again the server took more than two minutes to read and process my presence, and came with the splitted solution to either try keep up with me, or cut me off. For some reason, other FTB clients (who live much further away) experience no problem as such.

I'm running Feed The Beast Ultimate on the latest version of all the mods, including the FML update from last sunday. I could really use some help with this issue. I've been looking forward to play Feed The Beast mutliplayer again, but this issue just makes this severely unplayable.

Thanks for the link. I've found one small flaw already, which is that I both have x32 and x64 java installed. Though, nothing changed prior it worked and when it didn't work anymore.

Line 70 indicates you did not do steps 7&8 properly

Code:
Added URL to classpath: file:/C:/Users/UDV/Desktop/Ultimate/

Did your security software update at all?

Still doesn't change anything of what I have. This is a connection issue, not a client issue.

It is literally occuring on every server I join. This is really ruining the fun of the game :|. Why is this only happening on FTB, and on nothing else at all :(

The only thing that happened between the two moments was the update to Forge Modloader. However, even when I corrected it back, it still behaves in the same unplayable state.

And it continues to occur after doing the troubleshooting?
Just for giggles, can you follow my steps again and repost the console log?

Another piece of information: I'm on another network right now, and the same issue occurs. Thank god it's not my network settings, I feared as such :|.

I tested this out for you, and I just confirmed it is on every sever, ranging from home-hosted to dedicated servers. I've even tested it out on the best performance server from 8Bit Blocks, even that gives the same issues.

I've been using this laptop for 7 months. I've even played prior versions of THB on this.

Well, if everything you're saying is true, then it's a problem with your laptop, likely your security software.
