Ok, im going to go over a basic rundown of the content that will more than likely be in the first alpha!

Blocks:

AutomaticSqueezer, not decided on the details, but its a mid tier squeezer.
ManualSqueezer, on a gui you spam jump and it turns your vines into vine sap.
VineaFurnace, furnace that runs on Vine Sap
VineaInfuser, this with vine sap turns your cobble or stone brick into their mossy counterparts.
VineaHarvester, harvests all vines in a line in front of them.

Items:

BasicVineaMachineBlock, this costs vines/sticks, this is the basic one for earlier on and for basic machines.
AdvancedVineaMachineBlock, this costs mossy cobble/stonebrick plus maybe a machine module?

If you are intrested more, im going to do a bigger commit on github later, with info on all of these!

Edit:
Just added a creative tab, adding the advanced machine block.
Also, i thank all the modders for making their mods, they can get repetitive xD

I think:

1) For the AutomaticSqueezer: It requires a piston, iron block, and a cauldron, definitely. And costs burning coal, or an energy source from another mod.

2) For the ManualSqueezer: Requires a cauldron, with an iron ingot on each side. Simple recipe for simple machine :D

3) Vineainfuser: This of course needs to be moderately expensive, maybe requiring time more than anything for it to happen? And something like at least an iron block, or some gold.

4) Everything: AWESOME!

1) since vine sap is a fuel, it would makes more sense to make squeezer to run on vine sap, but doing so would be a rather clunky design in general. so just make it to not run on power.
2) it just have to have a pressure plate in recipe.

1)That is a problem with the automatic design, which i will decide on later.
2) Pressure plate + cauldron + something that is used to squish it will more than likely be the recipe.

Also, on github i published the creative tab and advanced machine block thing.

1) its quite an awkward design to pull off, but i think you`ll handle it :)
2) i`ve been thinking on that, and this should be a perfect recipe:
pressure plate on top, piston in middle, and cauldron in the bottom. or alternatively pressure plate on top, piston in middle, and rest is iron to craft a cauldron.
so you jump on pressure plate, that activates a piston, which squeezes vines inside cauldron.

Yeah, those will be the recipies, give or take a few things on it.

Also, the vinea infuser will also be able to turn Shears into Vinea Shears, which will have more durability for now, alot more stuff later on.
Just trying to find some info on adding shears (who else does that stuff)

why not just add an enchant called "vinefused" that would increase durability of any tool or weapon by, lets say - 10%?

Then its harder for me to balance things, it would cause problem with items that use nbt data (ic2 drills) and i dont want to have to handle a big blacklist for it.
Also its the infuser, i want to infuse shears with vines <3[DOUBLEPOST=1374251376][/DOUBLEPOST]

Not a open source mod, i will ask pahimar on irc later on.

can you explain more about ic2 drills? those are pretty much useless without external support(battpack), so increasing they durability(eu storage) by few percents wont make a thing in a long run.

I dont understand how they work exactly, but the way how they store energy irrc is through NBT data (im not 100% sure) and the durability does strange things.
More or less it would break them i think, like the bugs with protection/thorns on batpacks/lappacks.

i see. but cant you apply enchanted table`s logic when dealing with tools, so it wont recognize them as valid targets for enchants?

True, but i still think enchantments are kinda "stale" in some ways and boring.
Also shears can only be enchanted from a enchanted book.
More or less, i think my decision is a good one.
But im still open to counter arguments!

yes, your decision is a good one, but i suggest you to make it better by applying it to all tools :)
while i have to agree, that enchanting isnt a stylish choice, its by far the easiest and universal option for doing such.

the final choice is up to you, but i`d like to see my suggestion implemented :)

He can just make a version of each tool, with the durability upgraded. Not that hard.

No, support for the omni-wrench, he means. As in the omni-wrench will work on your machines.

Yep, the rotational api is pretty much the OmnyTool api, which allows most tools to work with other machines iirc.[DOUBLEPOST=1374253272][/DOUBLEPOST]

More or less true, takes me 15 mins at very most to make a infused version.
And it allows me to give alot more control on my stuff.

Just have a little texture addition, maybe make the handle green? And give it a tooltip: Vine Infused .
