FTB Launcher version: 1.2.7
Minecraft version: 1.5.2
Java version: Latest as of 3 hours ago

Despite having 7.75 GB of RAM allocated I am starting at 15fps when I first load a world, and after about 5 minutes I get around 8 fps, with drops to 2 or less if there is something happening (explosions, or for some reason when Im drawing a Tconstruct bow)

I would post the error log but unless you want to deal with the full error log in this post I cant because, when I press the "paste my log to pastebin.com" button it just says "read time out"

I do have the error log saved if it is okay to post the full thing here[DOUBLEPOST=1384155022][/DOUBLEPOST]uploaded the error log in a notepad file as well as the Minecraft log and the FTBlauncher log

There is a limit to the memory you should allocate. Generally don't allocate more than half of your ram. If you add anything more then this Windows and its process won't be able to run properly.

Don't allocate more than around 3GB imo. When running Soartex texturepack and pretty high optifine settings my game doesnt use much more than 1GB(according to F3 debug screen). Java usually uses up the double making the total use 2GB. If you allocate all your memory to the game, I believe everything else is forced to run on the pagefile(which is basically your harddrive). SSD or not your harddrive is hopelessly slow compared to RAM, which will cause a massive bottleneck.

Only allocate around 2-3 GB and it should be better.

Well, Optifine can apparently help a bit with FPS on low end PCs. I have never put it to the test though, as I use Optifine to improve the graphics. But doing so doesn't affect FPS. So might be something about it.

Not so much in 1.5.2 due to incompatibilities with some Forge mods.
