TNT is great and all, but fireworks look much prettier. I would love to see people launching up fireworks into patterns of Entropinnyums or somesuch flower along a pathway leading to their portal to Alfheim. Although fireworks do not have the destructive power and mana of TNT, fireworks potentially would look a lot better. Perhaps the amount of mana produced could be based upon the complexity of the fireworks, or perhaps the variety somehow. Also, automating firework production might be super cool in Botania, as one would need automated glowstone, diamonds, dyes, and all sorts of hard to come by items that Botania (and other FTB mods) can generate.

Maybe one could just drop the firework rocket on to the flower and the flower could launch the rocket itself, generating the mana it captures from the force of the explosion. This whole concept could justify the creation of a whole new generating flora type based upon fireworks, or even better yet, a cosmetic/functional flower that uses mana and fires off mana bursts that explode like fireworks, spraying their effect over the landscape. How cool does that sound??

I just see nothing but potential for awesome looking floating mana production here. (and maybe even more beautiful particle spam xD )

Maybe have it so certain Entropinnyums could react only to certain Fireworks? Like this:
  1. Entropinnyum Petals: Made from 1 Entropinnyum (makes 1). These craft the special Entropinnyums.
  2. Put your Entropinnyum Petal into the Apothecary first.
  3. Add any petal second to choose what dye it will respond to.
  4. Add either a red (small), orange (large), yellow (star), lime (creeper) or white (burst) petal third to choose what shape it'll respond to.
  5. Add either a yellow (glowstone), light blue (diamond), lime (both effects) or white (no effect) petal fourth to choose what added effects it needs.
  6. Add a black petal (for shape and effect) or any Mana Petal (for the dye slot) to say that it doesn't matter what this variable is.

See at that rate you're almost needing a new flower type just to have all of these mechanics. The Entropinnyum creates mana off of destruction, not necessarily explosive force. I think that all of these could potentially be really cool mechanics, however complex or however simple they may be, but they just may warrant a new flower of some kind. Something like actual firework flowers?

In any case, the idea certainly gets the creative juices flowing, and it really does feel like a natural Botania mechanic.

I had exactly 4 minutes of pure hype, then faster than you can say "I like trains" the hype train had derailed and devastated the mental countryside. Here I was thinking that Vazkii had picked up my idea and was gonna run with it... I had sent a twitter message with a link to the forum post I had made... Foolish, foolish me.

Unless @Vazkii really is running with it, in which case woohoo! but in all honesty probably not related whatsoever...
