TY.

i realize this isn't exactly on topic of this thread, but it's a small question so i dont really want to create a whole new one..

has anyone tried using the RotaryCraft Fan to cool machines? Other than pushing me when I stand in front of it, I haven't found it's been able to cool anything...I'm wondering if it's just very weak, or if it's a bug? or maybe I'm using it wrong... (trying to cool a RC Steam Engine)

Just light up some netherrack directly below the steam engine and it will output full power without overheating. No need for fan cooling

IIRC, you need a water sprinkler for that purpose. The fan can be used to harvest and replant crops. Also for items funneling, mob farm etc.

a Heat Sink actually keeps the steam engine at pretty much the ideal tempurature frolm my tests in creative, as well!

I'm not meaning to be a necromancer here, but I am trying to set up a hydrokinetic system to convert watts to RF for quarry purposes (or laser drill).

Here's what it looks like so far...

I have a RF source to grind up the seeds for lube, that being piped to the hydrodynamic, a 64m falling waterfall, and then outputting to a rotational dynamo.

It spun for a second, then stopped.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Probably not enough lube. Which version of RotaryCraft are you using?(Or which Modpack and which version of it)

I haven't been able to get a Rotational Dynamo to output, at all, into either Redstone Energy Conduits or a Leadstone Energy Cell. Using a Dynamometer, I can see that the output is 8nm of torque, and the Rotational Dynamo lights up, but it never outputs the energy.

Unless I'm missing something, that might mean that it's busted and bugged.

EDIT: a bit of testing in Singleplayer indicates that 8nm of torque may not be enough to generate Redstone Flux. Would be nice if the book said what the minimum was, but it appears that, nonetheless, my earlier comment was invalid. Further testing.

You can use a hydrokinetic engine but earlier game you could just use an ac engine to provide a good amount of 'free power'. I have a video on mod interaction with Rotarycraft, that you might find handy.
