Most of the problems I've found that involve people not being able to complete the download are caused by the slow internet connection. This, to my understanding, is being worked on.
Everyone else. Save your saves. Try to do a clean reinstall of the launcher.
I recommend always saving your ENTIRE folder (where you put your launcher and all of the files it generates) onto a flash drive before ever updating.
But by providing such information, you are aiding people who are pirating minecraft. The FTB team does not support pirates.
sorry i din't realize that this was a pirated minecraft site at the time of the post. i only found it by googling my problem and looking for solutions. also as far as the slow internet connection causing the problem of having no mods, it cant just be that because it is happening to me now, but worked yesterday.
also, my version of minecraft (unmodded) is in no way pirated or stolen, nor did it come to be mine through any unethical ways.
Well, for me at least the problem was solved by going to school and downloading it. From the campus network I was able to download with no problems and it was noticeably faster. At my house the download still doesn't work. So apparently my connection is to slow or the servers are intolerant of my slowness. Either way a faster connection fixed my issue.
