Is there any updated modpacks that have quests to kinda direct you where to go next?

Or is there any with the new Thaumcraft 6 in it?

Unless you've already played it, Sevtech Ages is a very quest direction driven pack.
 
ATM 3 has Thaumcraft 6 and is very up-to-date. It updated recently (around this week). Try it if you like big kitchen sink packs. Otherwise for quest driven gameplay there's SevTech. It's the best questing mod pack right now.
