1163 On my touchpad, I can scroll using two fingers and sliding them around. On some others, you can do it by sliding your finger along the edge.

1167 The thing I like about Apple is that they control nearly all of the hardware and software that goes into their products, so they can ensure that it all works together really smoothly.

That said, they seem to be very allergic to third-party software, which is annoying. In a vacuum, I'd probably prefer Linux for that reason, but this Macbook just works so well for everything else...

1169 And it's slow to boot, and it always likes to update itself when you boot the computer up and you really want/need to be doing something more important on it and would rather update later when you're not using it anyway, and it has all kinds of viruses and security vulnerabilities...

1170 True...Although once I did my clean install of Windows 10 I've not had any issues really. And the slow to boot is solved with an SSD.

1171 ah...booting...I remember the first time I booted debian on my desktop. It booted so quickly I taught something was wrong >_<
like currently my bios takes a longer time to get to my boot loader then to actually start my os from there.
