Unable to Download Textures on Direwolf20

Hi, I am new to FTB. A few days back I downloaded and installed FTB Direwolf20 and it worked along with the JohnSmith texture pack included, just fine.

I ran FTB a day later, and the texture pack no longer works, I have tried new installs, manual placing of the texture zip file, and Im now at a complete loss as to why it wont work, it downloads to Direwolf20 fine, but when I open the texture folder after launch, its not there. If theres any help Id much appreciate it, Id love to get back to playing FTB, but I cant stand the vanilla textures

Do a manual install of the texture pack.

Hi UniZero, thanks for the response, I had already done so, but ive now fixed the issue by going to the John Smith Web page and patching the texture pack So all resolved yay

I'm having weird texture pack issues in Direwolf also with John Smith and Soartex. When the packs are loaded, the title screen, GUI and modded blocks have changed, but the vanilla Minecraft blocks have not. So, stones, ores, bricks, etc, are using vanilla textures. I'm totally baffled after trying just about everything. Well, everything except the right thing, apparently.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

You have to download the vanilla pack first then patch it with the mods you want to add to it.
