I am unable to craft a double-layer capacitor from EnderIO. I have an attached picture of myself in the GUI on an easy crafting table. As you can see I have the required materials. Two energetic alloy's, pulverized coal, and some capacitors. I also tried relogging and trying to craft it in a crafting station and a table. Same result.

Could be a difference in version or config, but isnt the recipe 6x electrical steel, 2x Basic capacitor and 1x coal dust/pulv. coal?

In NEI it shows the recipe using 2 energetic alloy's on the top middle and one on the bottom middle, one pulverized coal in the middle and 2 basic capacitors on the middle sides.
FYI I've used this recipe on different packs/worlds and it worked fine.

Are you playing on a server? Been a few people recently with similar problems(though with MFR) in they could not craft items due to server and client configs being different.

Nope, I'm playing in singleplayer.
 
Every pack I've played has needed electrical steel instead of energetic alloy. Give it a go.
 
Update---
I can't craft ANYTHING with pulverized coal. I found this out while trying to make the electrical steel.
 
I have also got these 2 error messages: OpenGL Error: 1281 (Invalid Value) (no texture pack)
And OpenGL Error: 1283 (Stack overflow)
 
How did you make the pulverized coal? An IC2 macerator, a TE Pulverizer, etc? Try a different way to make it.

When I use an alloy smelter it gives thermal foundation pulverized coal. Same with a grindstone. I don't have enough tech to make the other machines as of now.
 
So uh yeah. I'm a derp sometimes. Everyone's a derp. I was using pulverized charcoal! *facepalm*
