Just fyi, but did you know you can breed mana beans to any essentia you like. I bred up to aurum, and have a couple of golems farming them for me.

To breed them, just place the two beans of the aspects that make up the aspect that you are looking for. So to breed to motus, place air and ordo beans next to each other. I usually put a few of each next to each other to increase the breeding chance. So if A is Air beans, and O is Ordo beans:

AOA
OAO
AOA

Something like that, with as many as you want. But as soon as you get the aspect you are looking for, move those beans away from others, so that they don't breed again away from what you want.

And of course you can use Lamps of growth to vastly increase their growth rates, etc.

Yeah, it is in my To-do list. Making a mana bean farm for 48 aspects ain't gonna be easy.

You don't actually need 48 different types of mana beans in a farm. You only need a few of the hard to get ones like lucrum, aurum, alienis, maybe metallum. It depends on what other methods you have for obtaining aspects. A simple tree farm along with some automated crafting, will get you a good chunk of the commonly needed aspects. A netherwart farm will get you pretty much everything else. Just use the mana beans to fill in the gaps.

A tree farm can net you Aer, Aqua, Arbor, Bestia, Cognito, Fabrico, Herba, Humanus, Ignis, Instrumentum, Iter, Lux, Machina, Meto, Motus, Ordo, Perdito, Perfodio, Potentia,Telum, Terra, Vacuous, and Victus. Possibly a few others.

you could also go the Thaumic Tinkerer route and use those aspect plants you can grow for your essentia. they're a bit easier to place down and harvest but on the downside they're more difficult to breed together.

I haven't yet gotten to those, but they look like fun. At the point in my game that I could really make use of them, I didn't have the available shards to make them. I am just getting into using the necromancer tablet effectively. A nice trick I found with it is you can use it to get mobs where you want them. Just kill the mobs with the blade, then place the dropped soul aspects on the pedestals and re summon. It is a heck of a lot easier than trying to lure them back to your base with wheat.

I have thought about adding a post with all the various mob combinations, but half the fun is figuring out the system. After killing 81 of a specific mob, you gain enough soul aspects to summon indefinitely.

This is absolutely amazing... but would someone be willing to link me to a tutorial on how to do something like this? I'm finally getting deeper into Thaumcraft, and I wanna know how to make an ultimate infusion setup like this. Thanks a ton!
