Problem ultimate server issuies

Im using the ultimate pack and I am not able to get into my friends server. my friend has a server that myself as well as sevrial other people play on that he has updated to the ultimate pack and is working fine for all of them. but when i want to try to get into the server it wont let me. I am able to get all the way to the tittle screen but when i go to log into the server it wont let me then just sits there saying logging in... then goes to a blank dirt background and finally turns black and freezes. the two messages that i have seen from the console are provided in the other two screen shots. i have tried everything that i can think of, reset my computer, reset my router, re downloaded feed the beast launcher, tried it on other computers with my account as well as tried it on other internets as well. all of which haven't worked
I also tried my account on my friends computer and it worked and i also have tried my friends account on my computer and that did not work so i am thinking its a version problem minecraft/ftb

- running on mac
- mac version is 10.6.8
- running feed the beast jar file
- feed the beast version 1.2.2
- running ultimate pack
- ultimate pack version 1.0.1
- Minecraft version 1.4.7

also i tried forcing an update and then booting it up and that also didn't work.
