Ultimate Quest Pack Server

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Ultimate Quest Pack Server

Launcher Type Server

Modpack Ultimate Questpack

Modpack version v1.3

Have you modified the pack? No

Link to log file

Details of the issue I am certain I have the exact matching forge version in my server files, and I have removed the client side only mods that prevented the server from running. The server runs and I am able to log on and play. My FPS is perfectly fine 40-60, my latency is 2ms. However, there is major delay lag. When I break a series of blocks half of them come back, when I attempt to fight mobs they teleport forward in time, chests take 2-3 seconds to open.. ect

This is a private server with 3 players, 2 on my home network and one 5 miles away. The problem is happening to all of us.

I have searched for days trying to resolve this :(

This sounds like the server doesn't have enough processing power behind it. It also sounds like you are running the server from the same machine you play from which could be contributing. What CPU do you have? Also note that this isn't an FTB pack so we can't really give proper support (no idea if this is a pack specific issue)

12 GB allocated for the server is overkill and might be causing java to spend CPU cycles managing that much memory. Since this is 1.7.10 I would go no higher than about 6GB on the server side and about 4GB on client. But, a lot of the server side depends on CPU. So what speed is your CPU? What does the server say when you run the /forge tps command? Is it producing "can't keep up" errors in the server console? These could point to the CPU not being fast enough to handle the pack.
