Ultimate 1.5.2? HELP!

ok so my friends recently started a ftb ultimate server... he used himachi and i decided to get on so i got the program and entered the IP adress. his server showed up but it said it updated to 1.5.2. i asked my friend about it and he said 1.5.2 ultimate version automatically downloaded like a regular update. is there something i did wrong or is it a glitch or something?

1.5.2 versions are not automatically downloaded.
You will need to go to http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/ftb-pack-comparison-1-5-update-status.4727/ and search for FTB 1.5.2 Beta with/no GT (GT stands for GregTech, the lovable mod that's detested by many). From there on clicking the link should give you instructions.
