First Ugocraft is a mod focused on putting blocks into motion.
The mod has been updated for 1.4.7, 1.5.1, and works in the ultimate pack -- with a config edit to set it's block ID's to unused ones. May work in the other packs... i only checked ultimate.
In it's config (generated on first laucnh) I changed these three lines:
Block_id.Core=3211
Block_id.Marker=3210
Block_id.Block_with_plate=3212
I just put a 3 in front of the default block ID's.

1.5.1 link:

The movement is similar to frames, but there are no frame blocks -- instead all connected blocks become an entity and are moved.
It has slider motion and rotation. Some truly crazy stuff you can do.
My question was can you make an airship with it. The answer is yes. Probably simpler methods, but here is a quick inchworm drive I put together, so it can move a ship then move the anchor points:

Anyone used Ugocraft before and done independent movement? All the videos i saw involved using fixed anchor points to move a ship along a predetermined path.
Edit:
Further testing. Seems it does not connect with all blocks. Not sure what the rules are/what constitutes a connected structure to it.
