Trying out Draconic Evolution and was wondering...

In fairness, a wyvern sword isn't really that expensive.

Once you can kill a wither, you should be grand.
 
Is there Reinforced Glass? Also, what about Wither Proof Blocks, like in Magical Crops?
 
I don't think there's reinforced glass but I'm reasonably certain warded glass is wither proof.

Get your thaumcraft on :)
 
There is Runic Dungeons wither proof glass. A lot of it is STUPIDLY expensive, though. Also, the dark steel iron bars/block I forgot the name of from enderio are wither resistant

Dude its not like its impossible to kill a wither without trapping it first, you are just spoiled by mods. I always kill one wither the "hard way" so I can craft a warding focus to build a wither kill room.

I always kill withers with tech stuff. I'm not used to this magic stuff. I know it's cool, but I apparently don't want to put time into it

Other than the warding focus, my wither kill rooms depend on tech mods:

MFR mining laser to kill the wither with void damage, and me formation planes up high away from the explosion radius to actually deploy the soul sand and heads.

Ohh, that looks cool. When I made my wither farm, I used a TON of that ender io wither proof stuff and used an autonomous activator and some block placers to put the soul sand and skulls down. I then let them fall down to a draconic evolution mob grinder... I'm liking these magic mods, though. They look rather boring at first, collecting vis, making stuff, throwing things in cauldrons, etc, but it looks worthwhile.
 
HOLY CRAP! that looks sweet. I'm just starting out with the Tech stuff and I need a lot of power for those lasers.
 
OK, I tested some cages and I'll be going with either a Reinforced Obsidian Cage or one made out of Wither Proof Blocks. Both are able to withstand the initial explosion and destructive blasts of the Wither.
 
Do you have flight? Wither is ridic easy to kill. Especially when you have a tricked out TiCo sword.
I usually kill 2-3 out in the open far from my base before I even think about wither cages.
