Transferring Save games

Hey guys, sorry if this is a repost, but I'm new to feed the beast and I have no clue where to post this.

I have a sweet save game on tekkit that I'd rather not loose. I removed all the ee2 stuff, and copied and pasted the file into my saves for ftb. my problem is, that when I attempt to load said save game, It just stays on a blank screen and I eventually have to manually close ftb.

can you guys give me some advice on how to transfer my save game, and preferably how i can keep most of my loot?

For some reason I'd guess that the mod versions are waaaaay different, so don't know if you can transfer the said world file without problems :I

bummer, so it looks like I'm starting a fresh world then :I

^ I just assumed, so if you can provide the mods and version numbers from the tekkit, I could check it out.
