So I started up a 1.6.2 server (list of mods can be found at http://pastebin.com/YSRbAPua) and for some reason my tools such as my stone pick and things like that are breaking after a few uses, but then reappearing in my inventory. A friend of mine told me I must have 2 mods installed that use 2 different types of durability for tools and they are interfering with one another. Can someone take a look at that mod list and tell me which ones might be causing this, and how to fix it.

Thanks

I can't remember the mod that does this, but I remember seeing a config option in a mod that has a "repair friendly" setting. This essentially makes it so it automatically de-equips any tool that reaches 1% durability (or something close to that) and puts it in your inventory so you can repair it instead of it breaking.

I'll have to look through my configs to see which mod it is.

Must be inventory tweeks, I will take a look. I also just found another problem. I cant seem to cook regular iron into refined, it just wont cook. What could be causing this?

The new pick appearing in your hand is inventory tweaks. It will automatically replace broken tools if you have an extra in your inventory.

How do you have MFR & Thermal Expansion in a 1.6.2 pack?

That's what I was wondering as well. 90% of the mods in that list are 1.5.2 versions, but there's a few 1.6.2 versions mixed in. Something like that will never run, not in any configuration. It will hard crash at client startup

Thank fuck. Such a pointless step.
They're replacing it with some hammer thing (put an iron ingot in a crafting grid with a hammer, get an iron plate out, use as you would refined iron). So basically, it's trading one pointless step for another.

There's a justification for requiring either Refined Iron or Iron Plates. Recipe clashes. If a Machine Frame just reqiured 8 Iron Ingots in a square, then what if another mod also introduced an Iron Box or Iron Ring that was 8 iron in a square? Making an IC2-specific item (which used to be Refined Iron, but is now Iron Plates) that is then used in IC2 recipes is a sensible solution.

Greg tech in 1.6.2 killed vanilla durability. Wood tools have like 6 uses and stone like 18. Try flint tools they equal vanilla stone

Though, once you mine the first 3 or so stone that wooden pickaxe sit in your inventory till you need that space.

I just find that he's nerfing random things that don't really matter at all. It's interesting. Well, cause you can, you can...
