You wouldn't want to do that if you want shiny ingots.
INDEED. DO NOT WASTE YOUR REDSTONE ORE BLOCKS LIKE THE OP SUGGESTS!!!! (please don't take it personal, OP, just having fun)
But its SHINY. Everyone loves shiny.
I just made 500 Enderium ingots and still have 500 Shiny ingots left over. I got bored and decided not to finish it up. If I need more Enderium, then I will.
Silk touch is important for one thing - redstone ore block plus a TE Cinnabar in a TE Induction smelter gives a 100% chance for a Shiny Ingot. (EDIT: this is incorrect, see my post below)
I never need more Redstone Dust (I think I have around 5000 Redstone Blocks, which is 45,000 Redstone Dusts lol)... but I always need more Shiny, and more Enderium!
P.S. Once you can make Gelid Cryotheum, it's no longer necessary to use the method above, since you can convert the massive amount of Thaumcraft Cinnabar you will have from your quarry into TE Cinnabar. I remove the silk touch upgrade from EnderQuarry at that point and save on power (even tho I have 14,000 Uranium ingots). LOL Modded Minecraft!
