Is there a good link to explaining the tic bows arrows crossbows etc the mats and modifiers of the parts. Also a few tips to understand the positives and negatives? What modifiers to put on the bow or arrow and how the arrows work?

I pick up tips watching the Forgecraft2 server videos... Lot's of intelligent questions asked and someone generally has an answer.

Yeah... but watching forge craft is difficult as a source between the passing conversation and the lack of focus, which is completely understandable.

With the arrows, bolts, & throwing weapons, it works as 1 item with many uses that can be repaired. Durability modifiers increase the # of uses. Damage modifiers go on the arrows, speed on the bow.

How do i add sharpness to my arrows? I'm not given the option for modifiers with my arrows. I'm using a slime bow and manylan arrows.

I did so a while ago. From what I tested, green slime makes the best bow/crossbow limbs, when combined with the flamestring bowstring. The plate on the longbow only really impacts the durability, so I like using Thaumium on it for the extra modifier. For crossbows, the stock is the handle, so again I like to use Thaumium, and the binding should likely be paper for the extra modifier since it does not impact any other numbers.

You've got two modifiers on bolts/arrows that you can use to put nether quartz on them for extra damage. They now work on durability so you can repair them, meaning you can afford to dump a lot of materials onto them. You can also use the traditional modifier enhancements (gold block + diamond, nether star, and notch apple + diamond block) to further increase modifiers.

Typically, I put Flux on the weapon of choice, with the rest of the modifiers as redstone, then just stack Sharpness on the ammo until you run out of modifiers. YMMV,

Adding moss to the ammo makes them regenerate over time.
But the regeneration rate is slow, which makes it less useful. I suppose it depends on how often you are going to need to spam your ranged weapons and how long a downtime you have between them. Besides, steel is pretty easy to get, so it's not like there's a huge cost involved.

mostly agree... Moss regen is incredibly slow. Too the point where it's not worth the upgrade slot. Steel is not always easy depending on the pack but I think your point is that resource repair is better than moss regen. I concur.

Am I missing something in ME^4 (even the most up to date version) with arrows? They aren't allowing me any modifiers to the arrows. No big deal at the moment.... just wondering.

If IguanaTweaks is installed, you don't start with any modifiers unless you've used thaumium or paper.

In me4 you get 1 modifier no matter what. I know that's not how it typically rolls, and while I see my experience go up with my bow, the arrows aren't listing exp. That and I made arrows with paper and they didn't show and modifiers. Probably just configuration shenanigans.
