This setup and how to get it to work.

Hello, I started playing Feed the Beast yesterday and tried to get into how to get the machines to work, so I searched on google and found this thread: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/getting-started-with-feed-the-beast.4134/ to help me out a bit. I made the first setup that he shows but don't know what next to do, like how to get it started and do stuff with it. Here's how it looks like:

Put a little coal in the generator (machine on right)
It should fill up the batbox (machine behind) it with EU (energy for these types of machines).

If the batbox is facing correctly (dot side toward the cable) the machines connected to the copper wire will be powered.

Looks like macerator on the left and furnace in the middle. Place your ores in the macerator and you should get 2 dust for each ore.

Put your dust in the furnace and you should get ingots.


The generator is not super efficienct with how it burns coal/any material, so don't just dump a stack in there. Only put enough in to top off the batbox ~5000 EU per coal.

Yeah thats a common issue. Just rember when dealing with power blocks the odd face is the out put and the rest are inputs.

What sort of horrible getting started guide tells you to make a compressor before a macerator?

I read it wrong and thought I had to make the compressor. I made a macerator now though.
