Thermal Generators

Hello all,

I am using thermal generators with lava to produce EU. The system should be producing 24 EU/t per generator. When I go to check the output of the system in total, it is half this value. When I check each generator with an EU-Detector it is showing 12 EU/t.

Anyone know why?

I am also using glass fibre cables, so there should be no problems.​

What mod pack are you using? Also regular ic2 thermal generators produce 20 eu per tick not 24. You are thinking of the gregtech version that produces 24 per tick. If you are using a beta mod pack you might need to update ic2 or something.

I am using FTB Ultimate.

They are also producing 12 EU/t which is exactly half. Also, I have 28 generators in groups of 7 (4 rows) all surrounding a single glass fibre line. The total EU output should be 662 EU/t as twenty-eight, 24 EU/t packets. I have no idea what's going on here.

Are you sure they're getting enough lava?

They all have 10k units of lava constant :/

This is an extremely simple question.
Why is it not in the "Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer" thread?
And what's up with posting a duplicate of this thread in the place where nobody even talks about FTB?
It's also a very barren place.

I feel like it's a technical question. Why are my generators that should produce 24 EU/t are only producing 12 EU/t, given that everything is proper. i.e. Enough fuel, output line is organized according to how EU works, unless I'm mistaken.

It's a simple question, but the answer might not be so.

If you have your cables split and go opposite ways then half of the EU will go one way and half the EU will go the other way.
