TE conduits were ridiculously cheap, Ender I/O's version is far better balanced (my opinion, obviously). If you want cheap, Buildcraft is RF based now, and might work with TE machines. I haven't tested that, as I routinely remove Buildcraft.No wait hold on here now...

BuildCraft's Kinesis pipes works for transferring RF, you just need wooden kinesis pipes at where the dynamos are.
If you mention Buildcraft pipes, whether concerning function, limitations, or game overhead - make sure that you try the latest versions, the new variation and functionality are way superior to the buildcraft of old, and the pipes are now threaded code and are very low on overhead. Definitely don't count them out
