The worst spawn you have had?

I once had a spawn on top of a floating island, and as cool as that was, there was no way down; the island was too small to give me enough blocks to get down, and there was no water in sight

Spawned inside a lava lake once, underground. I took it as a challenge but there was no way of getting out of there before burning to death.

A couple weeks ago I spawned in a world on a piece of quick sand. Had nothing below it... except a lava lake. All dirt to each side? All had nothing under them. Ended up flying out with creative found a village nearby with 3 diamonds at the blacksmith. I couldn't stop laughing.

Somehow, these islands are very common for me. I've deleted so many trying to spawn a normal world.

It wasn't with the FTB launcher but heh.

hmm... bonus chest won't work on this spawn because of the massive ocean. However if you give yourself a sapling, a wooden pickaxe, and a torch - you can survive and grow by descending into the oil fountain and living in the almost bedrock layer cave inside. You'll need to clear out the dirt by hand and plant the sapling next to the torch - punching off mobs with your hands (or building a wall) to survive long enough for the tree to grow. Eat the apples.

Take a block off one end, put it on the other end, repeat until you're over water.
Or: destroy the island, then die and it'll have to spawn you elsewhere.

Ive had to do that before. Block jump my way to safety.

I think the worst spawn I had was a bug where I spawn did not load correctly and I just endlessly fell into the void. But that was back in beta days.

my worst spawn so far, was in an extreme jungle. I ended up spawning, not up in a tree, but inside an underground lake. I was around y100. I had to punch my way out of the place through the stone. luckily, I heard chickens, so I knew which way to dig. when it started getting dark, which wasn't long by the time I got out, I came back to the spawn to hole up for the night, and a skeleton spawned inside and shot me right off the side of the cliff. That world got deleted.
