The ftb launcher is extremely slow when launching

As stated in the total the ftb launcher is launching really slow, i did all the things on the trouble-shooting page and nothing worked. i cant post an error log since it deosnt crash yesterday it was working fine and today when i was trying to launch FTB ultimate it took me 20 to 30 mins until i got to the main screen and when trying to connect to a server it took me 20mins then i got kicked off.

FYI. i'm using optifine but without optifine its still doing the same

Sometimes yea but sometimes i just let my pc start up ftb and it still takes that long but i somehow got the startup time to 11minutes

Restart your PC. Turn off all programs that may start up on system reboot (Skype, Steam, etc.)
Launch FTB. Open the modpack, do not start a game.
Post the console log from just opening the modpack.

You should upgrade to x64 operating system.

I'm not spending money on a new computer this one is working fine.
Its just plain weird that just in one day FTB isn't working properly on x86 computers.

Your problem is that you're using a legacy OS, and it's x86.
Next spring Windows is dropping support for XP, and I believe Java is dropping support this fall.

You really need to upgrade your OS.

Well I can tell you right now that's your problem.


Your log proves you are running Windows XP, while that screenshot proves you are running Windows Vista.
