I used to be scared of dogs, then I got a dog and I still don't trust big dogs. Small dogs I can handle but I need to spend some time with big dogs first before I can like them.

I don't know about "silly".

Evil, sure I'll go along with.

And I didn't used to be a dog person, but I'm definitely coming round to the idea now I HAVE a dog...
What sort of dog have you got?

Meet my dogs, you will change your mind.
My border collie, the smaller of the two, is a little shit. Super hyper, chews up everything, jumping up on you, licking everything.
My labrador, the bigger of the two, is the most docile dog you'd ever meet. He's so lovely, and fluffy, and you would choose him over the other.

I like dogs, I just don't trust big dogs especially from strangers at least in the beginning if I see the dog often enough it changes .

Long biology lesson in the spoiler; you've been warned.
I know I'm late to the party, but cancer is essentially a malfunction in the stages of cell growth and reproduction. Basically, normally, mitosis cannot happen until a cell has all of the normal parts, and each part releases a chemical which signals the cell to build the next part. In cancerous cells, the mechanism that destroys all of the signal chemicals during the split (can't remember exactly what that is; it's been a while since I've studied it) breaks. This results in new cells skipping all growth and undergoing mitosis immediately.

As for how this can be transmitted, the Wikipedia page said that there are select viruses and bacteria that are carcinogenic. The viruses cause cancer by first making a strand of DNA from their native double-stranded RNA. Then, they shove that stand in the cell's DNA. That's where the page stops, but if I had to guess, the viral DNA that's in the cell probably contains the code, so to speak, to make the protein that is involved with the last stage of cell division.
I've got two dogs, one rescue, I think he's a yellow lab/whippet/Chao mix, and one miniature Schnauzer. The mutt is the best dog I've ever met, but the Schnauzer is eternally grumpy and hates everybody except my mother.

That's a German dog for you. Either angry or grumpy. GSDs are the only exception to that rule.

He's supposed to be a cross king Charles cavalier spaniel/Bichon frise, but we reckon the woman who bought him as a puppy (whom we bought him from while he was still very young) got conned, because there is no Bichon in there :p he's all spaniel; bouncy, occasionally destroys things, but amazingly good with the kids and very friendly. He's also much bigger than a KCCS is supposed to be, so I think he's got some springer or some other spaniel in him.

I didn't really appreciate him until a friend pointed out just how good he was with the kids, and that we had actually struck it very lucky - I really started to get it after that! And its because of him that my oldest son, who was terrified of dogs, is now much much better with them. So yeah, definitely becoming more of a dog person!

It could be part Collie :p As I said, my Border Collie is basically a child, always hyper, wrecks everything, etc.
