Mindcrack Pack Version: v8.0.1
We use a custom config and different version of the mindcrack mods (because we're tired of waiting for lazy FTB pack managers to update, and the lack of a 'decent' private pack system without using permissions from EVERYONE.

[Intro]
Welcome to The-Construct, a new FTB server. My server is based in central US and is hosted on a lag-free dedicated server. The server is running a modified Mindcrack modpack.
But what makes this server different from a lot of servers out there? We will have a server TS3 for all the members that want to chat with each other. There is almost always lots of people to talk to on there.
Currently running a dev-build of IC2 to fix a lot of issues. The config has been changed as well. My tutorial will show you step-by-step how to connect to the server.

• -No griefing (I have a no tolerance on this)

• -Pickup your turtles before you logout, sometimes they can get reset if you leave them on the ground during a reset.

I was playing on the Nerdcrafteria server recently, and heard they were opening a "FTB" server. I did the research, and decided to try it out. Unfortunately, that server is exceptionally laggy (Cut down a wood block, it actually happens ~20 seconds later). So I installed FTB locally to try it out about 2 weeks ago. Ever since, I can't get enough. I'd like to play with others on a server with respectable, and dedicated staff.
What made you choose our server?: Mostly the way you presented your server here. You obviously care about the quality of gameplay, from the server down to the player.

Any additional information?: I tend to go off on my own but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be willing to help others out. I'm better at functional buildings than aesthetic ones, so my bases tend to be underground to hide the ugly exterior. I'm a bit sad that soul shards and portal gun are disabled, but I completely understand why. Still, not being able to make custom spawners or move them around easily will be a bit of a bummer. Suppose I'll have to reteach myself how to make a vanilla xp grinder. Could be interesting.
What made you choose our server?: I'm currently not a member of any server and that's a shame upon itself. I love minecraft and playing with others is half the fun. Your server specifically was chosen due to several factors. First, It's new. I want to be one of the first ones on a server to help it grow. I don't want to join for the first time to find I'm the only one without a massive facility and quantum armor. Besides that, i've always loved logistics pipes and the /home command is one of my personal favorites. I'm not very familiar with the region commands, though if they are at all similar to world edit they should prove quite useful. I hate being greifed myself, and as I was once an admin, I hate greifers in general. Messing up others' creations because you're jealous of their talent is just pointless and wrong.

Any additional information?: I've played FTB before but the other communities on the other server's I've came across have 11-13 year old's trolling and ruining the game for everybody. I just want to get on with playing the game with a pleasant and maturer community. I have a friend that would also be interested in joining the server and will post an app in the near future(As he has a busy life with university,etc.)
What made you choose our server?: To be honest I've been searching the forums for a server to play on since the last server I played on was griefed which lead to the server owner to close it down. So I came across this server application on the forums which was one of the best that I have came across so far. I've looked at the server specs which you host it on and i have to say its better than most and I would really appreciate the experience of playing on the server. ~jkribbz

Experience with mods?: Plentiful, I have been messing around mods since sometime around original IndustrialCraft's (IC1) release. Then switched to early Technic pack and ever since FTB came out I've been pretty much hooked on it. Only mod that remains a bit of a mystery for me is GregTech (I just haven't been able to get to most of the end-game content), but I plan to change that (hopefully with help of the community on this server. Anybody up for some tutoring?).

What made you choose our server?: Honestly? It seems that you take rules very seriously, that griefers won't stand a chance against the banhammer. A harsh way of keeping the community safe and clean, but I really like it.
