I cant seem to lower my flux i haven't done any magic in my area for a long time. and my basement is always filling with 30+ whips when i log in the next day. i never had this issue before i started making things with taumcraft

Notes:
I have a chunkloader
my home is built underground in a from surface to bedrock by 64x128 dug out area
in the basement, close to bedrock is a node
my Aurora seems to be always over 10% max
flux rating stays at moderate

You could surround the node with a water filled cage to kill the wisps, killing the wisps should clean the flux after a while. There's also a pure bee which eats flux to cleanse a node but that can be quite a bit of work depending on how far into bees you have gone.

is it possibly a dark node? they seem to generate flux. just keep that in mind.

Preferably, I'd set up a tesla coil.

this node always seems to shoot out purple black arcs and wisp dont drown it seems so going to try the tesla idea

Try quicksand, they suffocate in that and the drops will fall out the bottom eventually. Have golem pick them up and put them in a chest.

thanks for all the feed back this helps dealing with the wisp spawning often but doesn't fix why im always in flux of moderate and have a surplus of aura.

Sorry the water info I've seen it done in an older tc3 video but something must've been changed since.

I didn't realise your aura was over 100% (you put 10% in the op btw), and am not sure what causes nodes to go above their max, but the fact you are over the max is what is generating your constant flux.

I'm not sure what causes nodes to go over their max, other than crystal clusters which I use to overmax mine on purpose.

You could use a capacitor to collect the excess but would then need to deal with emptying it each time it's full, another option is you could make a pure node out of the range of that node then use a crystal core to merge them once the pure is larger, making the new large node a pure one that will cleanse itself over time.
