So I've found a hella lot aura nodes in my world, and some of them are in silverwood trees, some in obsidian poles ( one of them is a sinister 100+ perdito node in a pole that would really do good for me)

Now my question is: Can you encase nodes in Obsidian Poles and/or SilverWood trees. ( with the node in a jar research) And what do sinister nodes do? I am thinking to transfer them to my thaumcraft room so I can easily charge my wands with the wand charge pedestal and the compound recharge focus :D

Thank for the help! :)

Moving the tree and totem nodes works exactly the same as any normal one. Sinister ones have the ability to occasionally spawn furious zombies (angry zombies with more health that get bigger and stonger the more damaged they are) but that may (not entirely sure) depend on a certain config option being enabled that makes bad nodes more nasty.

Does that mean that if I transfer the node, that I will get the chance for the Zombies to spawn? Even if its lit up?

All nodes found in those obsidian totem poles (and most in TC barrows) are Sinister nodes. Sinister nodes spread the Eerie biome around them. Eerie biomes serve two functions: 1) they are a magical biome, so you can grow mana beans and pechs and wisps have a chance to spawn from it; 2) they will spawn furious zombies in place of regular zombies, not 100% of the time, but very frequently.

So if you do decide to collect some Sinister nodes, you do benefit from the fact that you will have a magical biome at your base (if you didn't already), but you will have to make sure the entire Eerie biome is lit properly to stop the furious zombies from spawning. (watch out for caves under your base!)
