I have my Thaumonomicon. I have my research tables. I've setup bookcases and crystal clusters, I researched all the aspects, and I started doing research. I completed several of the research "minigames" and received the completed research scrolls.

When I right clicked with the first two scrolls, they vanished and made the ding-and-scribble noise familiar from Thaumcraft 3. But when I open my Thaumonomicon, I do not see any changes to the available research. I don't see Nitor, for example, despite having researched it as described.

And now I'm unable to cause the discovered research scrolls to disappear. It's as if the Thaumonomicon already has that unlocked, so doesn't recognize new unlocking efforts.

Either I'm not looking the right spot for my advances, or I'm glitched. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Has anyone a solution?

UPDATE: SOLVED!

So, yeah, I'm a moron. I don't know how long I spent -- an hour? Two? -- unable to spot the tabs on the upper left corner of the open Thaumonomicon's gui.

I've only found this issue when I'm reading the Thaumonomicon from a Bibliocraft desk, though it may have the same issue on an Ars pedestal. The fix is to pick up the book and access it from your hotbar. That should display the new research properly. You can then put the book back onto the desk or pedestal.

If that's not the case then I've no idea.

I've been accessing the Thaumonomicon from my hotbar. I hadn't even considered the merits of trying it in a pedestal, desk, or lectern. I'll try that out to see if it forces an update.

Update: It made no difference.

Update 2: But it did give me occasion to look at the gui again, whereupon I spotted the tabs.

If you have the book on a desk you can have another book in your hotbar. When you made a discovery open the book in hotbar and the book on the desk will be updated to.
