One word: WHY!?!?!?!?!
I'm trying to make a Skyblock map in 1.5.2 and I don't know how to make it all void with a block. So, I made bedrock with 10 layers of lava. Unfortunately, these slime pools keep spawning in my empty air. How do I fix this? I searched the TConstruct and Natura configs for a way to turn it off but I got nothing.

The only method I'm aware of that would remove slime islands is removing tinkers/natura. Or write a compatibility mod that overrides tinkers/natura and provides config options for slime islands. They hate that though.

Create a 1 layer of sand, and when you place a block every thing will fall. I don't think you can set all to torch of something else.
Or 256 layer of sand and break all the way down. Slime island should spawn inside.

Theres a config option near that config option to disable spawning in Dim 0, too...

Out of idle curiosity what is the exact line? I cannot find anything in the TinkersWorkshop file that looks like it would do this, just "I:"Slime Island Rarity"=###"

actually the beta build give you an option to disable the generation of slime islands but you have to config that first then make a new map

# True: slime islands generate in overworld; False they do not generate
B:slimeIslGenDim0=true

well, I could have maybe chosen a better word... but before the slime islands the blue slimes were everywhere, and by damn I mean everywhere. now with these islands all the slimes ruling the lands have been banished to these floating pieces of dirt, to never disturb a living soul every again

And oh, the slime trees, love 'em.

Grab a few of their saplings and you will have a slime tree farm! No need to get a slime farm going for slime balls anymore!

this, pretty much this. ever since Mojang changed how slimes spawn in the swamp biomes it can be pretty damn irritating to get all the slimeballs you need, unless you've a looting 3 sword with decent enough armor to fight off all the other mobs that spawn aswell.

with slime trees, you've a good way of getting slimeballs without putting your life at stake all the time

Another thing you could do is disable TiC/Natura, generate the world a bit or use some pre-gen method and then enable the mods again. Sure, you'll get island spawns, but they would be miles away.

That could work. I could do that and make a rule that says not to go on any slime islands they find.
