Quicksand, they won't teleport away from it.
Nope becuase its not water and your not attacking them.

and drowning them in quicksand isn't stylish?Tesla coils give bonus points for style

I was just having this problem yesterday -- it turns out they CAN teleport away while falling if there's sunlight above them. The solution is obviously just making an ugly solid platform covering the spawning area.- drop them down and kill them with the falling damage->some port away
legs.Is it possible to give Athames to turtles, if so, maybe that could do it?
Athames do serious damage vs Endermen, so it may be able to finish them fast enough, just probably gotta set them in the 3rd block so they'll hit the head only.
Or was it the legs that needed to be hit so the Endermen have a lower chance to teleport?
Hi, I'm going to hijack this thread because I am in a similar situation.
I managed to grind my way through to a T5 Endermen spawner, but I want to kill them for XP and loot, so I don't want them to die on impact. I set up a simple dropper (thank you Filler! Dug out the hole and lined it with bricks in seconds! ), but because the hole is 5x5, I can't reach them properly, unless I drop in there with them.
Normally I would funnel the mobs into a 1x1 hole using water so I can stand there and kill them (or use Sword of the Zephyr and kill them all in 1 hit!), but I can't think of a simple way to funnel Endermen into a small space (1x1 preferrably). Any ideas?

Honestly, just get your XP from a traditional Skeleton or Zombie spawner. Far easier to get a T5 one with those.Hi, I'm going to hijack this thread because I am in a similar situation.

Loot will still drop from Endermen if they die from Quicksand.
Endermen give the same amount of XP as Zombies and Skeletons. They all give 5.
I've got twoCheck the MC wiki proper. Blazes drop 10 xp per kill over the usual 5 of most mobs. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Blaze
Get a T5 blaze spawner and reference DW20's current SSP Season 5 LP. He has an automated xp and blaze rod production setup going. You'll be enchanting yourself silly.
Yup, and Blaze Spawners are like candy in the Nether. You can right-click enough of them to have a T5 one in about an hour (providing you have a jetpack).[DOUBLEPOST=1360614866][/DOUBLEPOST]Check the MC wiki proper. But yeah, if you're bored, make a Gravisuit.Kind of a shame really, getting an ender farm was one of the last goals I was aiming for. The only thing left to do in FTB is make stuff with Iridium, but that's not really fun it's just grinding.

Collect 8 stacks of rich slag through mining all the ore required (like 11 stacks of Tin and 6 stacks of copper), and processing the raw ores through an induction smelter, then use the rich slag to make 8 stacks of platinum. Then centrifuge the platinum to get 1 stack of iridium.
Make a huge quarry farm and automated processing system that sorts out the copper and tin, and throws away the rest (okay, maybe not throw away, but put in barrels), and induction smelts it for the rich slag (you can make automated induction smelters with Igneous Extruders and Pulverizers making sand). Quarry the heck out of your planet. Giant 64x64 Quarries. Ten of them.
Thankfully because of the rich slag, getting iridium doesn't have to be boring (just start early on centrifuging platinum, it takes like 2,500 seconds). Any ore in induction smelter = 33% chance of rich slag. 2 platinum dusts + rich slag = 3 platinum ingots. So every rich slag is basically a platinum ingot. Grind the ingots back into dusts and repeat the cycle. And every 8 platinum ingots is 1 Iridium. King Lemming saves the day once again.
Think of it as a giant spawn farm. But you're farming worldgen.
I'm not seeing any options to centrifuge Rich Slag. Did Gregtech remove it?
