FTB Launcher version: 1.2.7

Minecraft Version: 1.4.7

Java version: JRE 7u40 (Latest)

Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated: I was playing on a recently created world, mining in a very large cave. I was at the same time copying songs that I've bought onto my phone using iTunes. I went downstairs, ate my dinner, came back up, and the game had unbearable fps (3-5fps). But I've noticed a pattern - it seems to happen after 10 minutes of playing. It's as if the memory usage is crawling up till it runs out... but why? Is it my world? I know that there's a permanent problem with world leaks for this version which has been fixed in 1.5.2, could they be related to memory leaks? I've only been in the overworld, not the nether, mystcraft, end, TF, etc.
Error logs:
None - Just this snippet of code. (I'm very experienced with code, so this is all that seems to bear a resemblance to this topic)
Code:
[INFO] [STDOUT] Memory connection overburdened; after processing 2500 packets, we still have 43279 to go!
Help would be appreciated.
