16 scaffolds are made from 3 planks and 3 sticks. It is 4.5 planks and 1.125 logs.
16 scaffolds make 12k EU(4.8k heat in boiler), and 1.125 charcoal ignoring smelting cost make 4.5k EU(1.8k heat in boiler).
It is 2.6666.... times efficient to make log into scaffolds then feeding it in generator or boiler.

I wrote a quick program to convert 72 logs into 16 stacks of scaffolds.
Input chest is on top, output chest is bottom

It's 5k EU, but 80MJ required to saw log is about 0.2k EU
So 0.8k more EU compared to just charcoal.

Oops, typo.
It is turtle.transfer(i), not turtle.tranfer(i).

Ah thanks, there were 3 more lines with that error too :X I read over it aswell xD

However I am not familair with crafting turtles, at the moment it is just shifting the logs through it's inventory. Am I missing something of the setup?

Are you sure that your turtle is crafty turtle?(made by crafting turtle with crafting table)

Yeah. it is a crafty turtle. Just a regular turtle combined with a crafting table

I though turtle uses 3x3 left-top slots, but nope. it uses all the slots.
fixing the code.

Ah okay. Are you doing this from your head, that is really hard!? It is not working yet, I get an error at line 35: 'for' initial value must be a number.

It does makes 3 stack of sticks and planks!

Umm...

Turn those 6 planks into scaffolding. 3 wood + sawmill + 3 smelts -> 64 scaffolds + 3 charcoal = 52000 EU / 3 wood = 17333.3... EU / wood ignoring sawmill / furnace cost.

Subtracting the 0.2k EU you quote (I think it's a little high, but ok), that's ~15333 EU / wood, as opposed to 8000. Nearly twice the output.

Allright that was simple to fix. The error was a simple typo . But it seems to go wrong after creating the sticks now.

Final product.
Fail proof, compact scaffolding machine. Tested from my side and it works like a charm.
place input chest on top, buffer chest in front, output chest in bottom.
Not logout proof though..

Ow damnit xD It does NOT go into a steam boiler. Thing works now though, so thanks! I'll be sure to use it for some generators xD. (which will now be my stepping stone to boilers)

I didn't know that lol.
1.125 charcoals in boiler make about 16363MJ(steam engine) or 25.5k EU (steam turbine), 16 scaffold make 9600MJ(TE steam engine) or 12k EU(generator)...
Too bad that boiler rejects scaffold.
