I recently made a modpack - Colony. It's a tech-based pack with a focus on automation. Recipes have been re-balanced to be easier so that the player can focus on building their own evil-corporate-lair-factory-thing. HQM quests will be in the next update, which is currently awaiting upload; the quests are meant as a sort of guide/collection of useful info, especially for newer players (although the "Electricity for the Newest of the New" guide isn't done yet). The pack has a sort of optional final goal of getting to the moon and building your base there, although you don't have to.
