Summary of the problem Spawn locked and spawn camped by headcrumbs

Pack Version 3.0.0

What is the bug? I died in my mob spawner and whenever i respawned a trap was placed below me to lock me from any movement and a headcrumbs mob was spawned right beside me. the only way i could free myself was by switching to creative and /killing myself. This never showed up before today.

Mod & Version Headcrumbs 2.0.1 (pack version 3.0.1 wasn't an option here, only 3.0.0, just so you know. I'm using 3.0.1)

Is it repeatable? yes. 'works' in all difficulties including peaceful and doesn't matter if you have a bed. the pack is completely unplayable now

The bug you're reporting is getting yourself killed in your mob spawner and being killed over and over by the mobs in your mob farm?

no. i did not build the mob spawner on my spawn point. the mob farm is ~30 blocks from the my world spawn and for some reason a trap is being spawned on me when i respawn locking me to spawn. this happens in all difficulties and even when i changed my spawnpoint with a bed.

theres a slime sound played as i respawn and a red circle that looks vaguely similar to an extra utilities 2 redstone crystal with an extra bit on top of it visible below me as i die. i can try to get a screenshot of that part if these forums are ok with imgur links.

edit: minor brain fart, the slime sound was from the slime boots i was wearing. the rest is still accurate. i feel i should also mention that i tried teleporting with /tp and it resulted in the camera rubber-banding between point A and point B.

I've got a screenshot of the trap, now it appears to be a small blue circle 1-2 bits larger than a large xp orb with a small blue musical note shaped 'tail' roughly the size of a bit on the SW edge of the circle. when i say 'bit' i'm referring to the size of a default minecraft texture pixel.

Also, the bug still happens after fully closing the the minecraft client and reloading as well as simply leaving and reloading the world. I'm not sure that i can say for sure that this is caused by headcrumbs but, when i first encountered the bug, a headcrumbs mod did spawn beside each time i respawned.

Unable to recreate the bug in a new world. not sure what's causing it. let me know if i can post imgur links.

If Quark is installed you will teleport to an enderman if you've aggroed one and are standing under a two block tall space, but it doesn't sound like what you're talking about

Quark isn't installed. I brought it up because i was fighting an escaped compressed enderman and one of the 9 endermen that popped out of it had wierd eyes and i got trapped again after dying to it. i've also noticed spiders have similar wierd eyes occasionally. i need to try to get a screenshot of it but each eye has a dark centre with a large bloom effect enlarging the appearance of the eyes making them look like purple or red xp orbs but with dark centres.

I'll add the picture with the wierd spider/enderman eyes when i can get one. here's a screenshot of the me spawn trapped and the trap visible after death:

did you try moveing the bed to a clear area some blocks like farmland and chests can cause issues if you get spawned partly inside them as there not a full block

yes i did and it still happened. the incident with endermen was after i made a bed on a 3x4 of vanilla stone brick and the spawn trap still ocurred.
