OOC: Whoops about Metal. I'd rather not because of the weight. Carbon Nanofibre just happens to be the hardest material in the world. Harder than anything we've ever seen. I'll correct the statement.

No, you mean Graphene. How many times must I correct you?
It is:

The hardest.
One of the thinnest.
The most electrically conductive.
The most thermally conductive (I think).
Obviously EXTREMELY light, more so definitely than carbon nanofibre.[DOUBLEPOST=1377706663][/DOUBLEPOST]Fun fact: The limit of a graphene sheet's hardness is an average elephant sitting on a pencil :D

Must have missed that in the news. Let me see if it is viable for a sword material.[DOUBLEPOST=1377706802][/DOUBLEPOST]Electrically conductive... That could be a weakness in some situations. But I'll take it anyway.

That works too. However, Rubber can get sticky under heat and constantly holding it during a fight will make your hand uncomfortable. We could coat it with something else so that I can hold it comfortably without electrocution.

There was a type of rubber which counter-acted that, cannot remember its name...

Vulcanized rubber. It's what keeps your tires from melting into the pavement. The secret? Carbonized rubber...yeah. Carbon is what turns soft iron into ultra-hard steel. Compressed carbon is, literally, diamond. Thin sheets of carbon(graphene)have already been discussed. Carbon nanotubes will one day be woven into ribbons that will hold up 96,000 mile elevators into space. Graphite(the same stuff in your pencils)is the absolute best neutron reflector in the world.

Seriously, make something out of carbon and you can give it all sorts of superpowers, and you will probably be right. Just my small contribution to the thread.

And moreover, we're forms of life based on carbon.
Yeah.
Carbon is fucking badass.

It's because it is the most reactive element with four electrons to give away in a reaction, so it is more reactive than something with 5, but has more opportunities for bonding than something with three or less.

But why not Silicon? Or Germanium? They also have 4 atoms, yet we haven't seen any lifeform based on them.
And by the way, chemistry is my third favourite subject. Math's in second and in first, Robotics.
MOTHERFUCKING ROBOT ARMS!

I believe they are in the same group right? It is because they are less reactive.[DOUBLEPOST=1377718111][/DOUBLEPOST]Most loved subjects: all three sciences, and design and technology (D.T.)

Most HATED WITH A FUCKING VENGEANCE: English. I can't do a fucking 500000000-word essay on why the author makes us feel this fucking way -_-

I like Grammar, not necessarily Composition. I like writing Fantasy, but not writing about stuff other writers did. I hate Book Reports. We don't do Book Reports, thank goodness.

Writing stuff is interesting unless you have to resume something or your teacher is a philosophy fan. Those texts can go choke on a cactus.
That's why I make stuff like argumentative texts or stuff like my zombie story.

I'd write an essay about Science, or Maths, or even Grammar but I'd never write an essay about a book and I'd certainly never write instructions or other boring stuff like that.

IC:
"So, G, what can you do? Your talents?" Ken asked.
OOC: Changing my name to Ken Masuta. It's Japanese for Sword Master.

"Talents? I don't have any. I couldn't save any damn soul in that bloody facility... I survive. I don't have special skills or anything like that. I just survive. After all, it doesn't matter if you're a sword master, a charming lad or an insane scientist - it just matters if you're still alive or not. I prefer being alive."

"Survival is more than enough for me. He who can survive can become a help in times of need. Do not worry, friend. My name is Ken Masuta. It is Japanese for Sword Master."
OOC: Ken has a Japanese accent. Most can imagine it.

"Well, G, you have a pretty good swing with that bass of yours, right?"

Also, whizz, if you are japanese now:

"Survivar is more than enough for me. He who can survive can become a herp in times of need. Do not worry, friend. My name is Ken Masuta. It is Japanese for Sword Master."

OOC: That last one was hilarious, J, the "herp".
IC: "Not exactly the best weapon, but it gets the job done."
